Gucci is an Italian company, named after the owner Guccio Gucci and first began selling their leather products back in 1921 in Florence. The store originally started producing leather handbags and saddles, but by the late 1930’s had opened a second store within Rome where they started producing a wider range of luxury products. Now Gucci is established as a world leader and estimated last year to have made profits in the region of $7 billion.
